The Moody’s Compliance team seeks a new SVP – Global Head of Compliance Policies to lead the drafting, review, and refresh of Moody’s global Compliance policies and procedures. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the SVP will serve as a champion of Compliance’s policy governance process and work closely with key stakeholders throughout Moody’s to ensure a best-in-class Compliance function and foster a culture of collaboration and transparency. Additionally, the SVP will serve as a critical member of the Compliance senior leadership team and manage three direct reports.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the lead and primary person responsible for the management of Compliance policy and procedure development and revision.
- Manage the Global Compliance Policies team, maximizing performance by providing and coaching through challenges and opportunities and creating a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, teamwork, and problem solving.
- Lead the policy governance processes, including policy development, implementation, and socialization, relating to Compliance policies and procedures.
- Partner with Compliance and other stakeholders to lead the development, drafting, and revision of Compliance policies, procedures, and other communications
- Serve as the lead in drafting key Compliance communications and messages, including Compliance Advisories and Reminders.
- Lead and assist with other deliverables and ad-hoc projects and tasks, as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive policy drafting experience and experience operating within a global Compliance program or experience in a related control function required (10+ years).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain critical information to a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team, ideally in a decentralized context.
- Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and Blockchain experience a plus, as the role may be expanded to include Compliance coverage of DeFi and Blockchain.
- Strong organizational skills, analytic skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of managing large global projects to completion.

This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
